Okay I going to change my lower ball joint. How much is the labor work to install a new ball joint on a 00 Durango? Having a bad ball joint can affect your streering wheel? How do I know if my ball joint is really bad? The wheel dont move it make noise,
you should be able to jack your truck off the ground and put a bar under the tire and see if you have any slop in the front end. If You should see the components lift first then you have slop in the front end. If your front end is ok, then when you lift the tire, everything will move in unison.
If you have problems you might look at your idler arm. Its a problem and you can replace it for a few dollars.
