I have to admit that until I came across the Gateway SX2802-03 desktop model, I haven't really been taken to Gateway computers. The sheer computing power (coupled with its modest price tag) makes this PC model hard to ignore!
The Gateway SX2802-03 comes with a whopping 1TB hard drive, 6GB of DDR2 RAM and a powerful 2.5GHz Quad processor. If in unlikely even that you find the 6GB of RAM to be insufficient, you can upgrade the memory to maximum of 8GB. It runs on the 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium OS.Other desktop models in the market with similar specs would cost at least twice the price of this Gateway model. This PC is designed for users who are looking for a straightforward, no-frills and powerful computing platform.
The Gateway SX2802-03 desktop PC ships with a CPU unit keyboard and a mouse. It also has a 16x DVD drive, a digital card reader, 9 USB ports, and supports 5.1-channel audio. For graphics, this model comes with an Intel GMA X4500 graphics processor. There is also a HDMI port to connect the PC to a HDTV. Due to its competitive pricing, this desktop does not come with some features such as wi-fi connectivity or Bluetooth (which you can incorporate by getting some very affordable toggle). In our tests, it ran heavy applications (such as Photoshop) flawlessly, thanks to its set of very powerful specs. The 'high-end' specs on this desktop will allow you to perform a variety of moderate/heavy computing tasks smoothly. The price of the Gateway SX2802-03 would have to be the icing on the cake. It is currently retailing for just around $559 each!
