ITunes Problems Help Required?
I've had trouble for the past couple of months with downloading updates for applications using my laptop. I now have atleast 200 applications with updates, the following error message pops up:
"Unable to check for downloads. The network connection timed out.
Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."
I have ran a network diagnostic check through iTunes it detects the network devices and says:
Network Connectivity - Network interfaces verified
Itunes store connectivity - Internet verification verified and secure link to itunes store verified
ALL TESTS PASSED
I have also installed and reinstalled itunes.
Finally when I try to view my itunes account to change my bank details the same error occurs.
Help me please!
(I can purchase songs from itunes for some reason)
this sounds like you have a firewall issue thats blocking the port that the itunes store uses.
it needs the following ports free:-
52,53,4555,5291,6356,6385 and if using sharing of libraries:- 3689 & 5353
if this is a firewall port issue..
