What is the optimal interval for tire rotation?
My car came with a set of Michelin tires. The rotation interval indicated in the owner's manual is every 10,000 miles. I just got a new set of Dunlops and the warranty card suggests either their rotation interval specified in my owner's manual or every 6,000 miles. Which one should I go? I know more often is better, and I plan to run all 6.000, but since Dunlop gives gives me a choice ...
Most manufacturers recommend rotation every 5 to 7 thousand miles. The nice thing about making your head spin every 6 thousand people is that if you change your oil every 3k then it is easy to remember to have your tires rotated every other oil change. I advise strongly stick to your plan to make every 6k.
