what is that 2nd connector??? 2005 mustang radio install- non shaker?
I have a 2005 mustang with the standard OEM radio installed, 4 speakers no subs or amp, I tried to install a new head unit, but when I removed the old unit I found out that the old OEM radio has 2 connectors plugged in the back of the radio, one is the big harness and the other one is a little one with 2 wires connected to it. I ordered the wiring harness and it is just one connector for the after market radio, my question is What is the other connector for? It has 2 wires connected to the end of the plug but I can not figure out what's is for.
I ended connecting the after market radio, with its respective wiring harness, everything works perfectly but only worry is that plug that it is not connected to anything. Some help please?
it could be a dimmer wire for when you turn on your headlights the radio would dim with the dash lights, or it is specifically used on the factory unit and what ever function it it won't work on an aftermarket stereo. I wouldnt worry about it.
