Lots Hardware Screws

I have a little computer problem on my hands. I'm good with hardware/software, but not with disc drives, and problem(s) with one or two have arisen today.

Before I installed my new power supply and graphics card, I fiddled around with a lot, uninstalled them from the power supply, then put them back in. Not sure if it happened before or after this. I purchased the Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind and put the CD in the first drive, nothing, I put the CD in the second one, nothing, and it makes noises as if it's processing, but, nothing, the installation doesn't set up. If I go to, "My Computer" it doesn't say Morrowind or anything, just says, CD Drive G, CD Drive H. Double clicking H does nothing, opens a blank "folder" like area, and G asks what to open it with. The drives, according to the Device Manager, are "WDC WD1600JD-75HBB0" and "WDC WD2500JD-00HBB0". The device manager does not list them in error state. I do not have the drives screwed in inside the PC, could this be it?
