Amplifier for car sub system?

I need your help, Yahoo Answers.
I’m new to the whole car sub system thing, but I’m learning.
I have 2 12″ DVC subwoofers (JVC CS-GW1200, to be exact)
They’re rated at 4 ohms, but I have them running in parallel/parallel, so it brings it down to 2 ohms, correct?

Can a car audio sub be run from a home amplifier or will it damage the sub or the amp?

yes it will work but i wouldnt recommend it

Can i run a 4 ohm sub from an amp at 600 x 1 channel at 1 ohm??

Now the sub says:Size: 8″
Impedance (OHMS): 4 DVC
Max Rec Amplifier Power (WATTS PEAK/RMS): 1800w / 900w
Sensitivity (dB 1W/1M): 84.5
Frequency Response (Hz): 28-100k
Mounting Depth (IN.): 4-11/16
